Halkett in Saskatchewan Court of Appeals

Oct 14, 2010 | 6:40 AM

The province's highest court has reserved its decision in the crown's appeal in the case of April Halkett.

She's the woman who gave birth in a Walmart washroom stall in PA in 2007 leaving the newborn in a toilet.

Halkett was found not guilty of abandoning the baby, so the Crown took the case to the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal.

Her lawyers have always argued that she thought the baby was dead, and left scared.
