Students push bed down frigid highway for Telemiracle

Feb 28, 2014 | 11:22 AM

Some University of Saskatchewan agriculture students will be braving Friday's cold to raise money for Telemiracle.

A group of about 10 of them will be pushing a hospital bed down Highway 11 from Saskatoon to Regina.

“Lots and lots of layers, lots of toques and mitts and neckwarmers,” said Whitney Cyca, who will be one of the students trying to stay warm on the journey.

She said the students have raised $10,200 so far, but will be collecting donations along the way.
