Leon Draisaitl's two goals and one assist paced a 6-4 decision in a wild west shootout style win in Tri City. In addition to a sweet backhander into the top corner on a second period power play goal, the top goal and point producer in Prince Albert popped in the empty net goal to seal the victory with less than two seconds remaining.

However it came after the Americans swarmed the Raider zone in the final minute after pulling goalie Eric Comrie with 2:15 remaining. Shane Danyluk scored an unassisted shorthanded goal at 3:46 of the third period to give the Raiders a 4-2 lead and set up Carson Perreaux's winning top shelf snipe at 11:52.

However the Americans just wouldn`t go away, chipping away at three different two goal leads. Mitch Topping`s second goal of the night with less than five minutes remaining gave the home side life and momentum in the dying moments.

Associate Coach Dave Manson told the 900 CKBI post game show audience several solid minutes of consecutive action would be followed by a series of turnovers that cost them three of the four goals against.

However he also heaped praise on the performance of Danyluk and the fourth line who were effective all evening as well as producing the team`s second goal. Gage Quinney converted on the back door after Darcy Zaharachuk was hooked while going for a Matteo Gennaro pass.

Colin Valcourt opened the scoring with a sizzling snap shot from the slot just shy of the 13-minute mark.

The Raiders led 3-2 heading into the third period but would have had a much more comfortable lead as quick whistles cost them what would have been goals by Jayden Hart and Calder Brooks.

Both teams were 1-for-4 on the power play with the Raiders out shooting the Americans 35-26.

Prince Albert has now won four in a row on the road and all three so far on this crucial six game road swing which continues Saturday night in Portland.

That game can be heard on 900 CKBI..
