Slippery highways reported across Saskatchewan

Mother Nature's latest batch of wild weather has left travel across Saskatchewan quite challenging on Saturday.

The recent rain/snow mix is leaving most roads quite slick.

“Due to the warm weather we've been having in combination with the loose snow that's been falling, it is creating icy, slippery conditions across all of Saskatchewan,” said Jolene Matovich with the Highway Hotline.

“I can't even single out a place that's getting it worse because every place in Saskatchewan seems to be icy and slippery.”

But two areas are of particular concern. Travel is not recommended on highways 39 and 334 in the Weyburn area due to reduced visibility and icy roads. Travel is also not advised on Highway 4 south of Swift Current for the same reasons.
