Parkland Ambulance stresses snowmobile safety after daytime accident

Jan 18, 2014 | 2:11 PM

Paramedics responded to a car versus snowmobile collision on Highway 120 near Candle Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

With a 21-year-old male treated for injuries and taken by ambulance to hospital in good condition, Parkland Ambulance has a warning.

Spokesman Lyle Karasiuk reminds snowmobilers or ATV drivers to come to a complete stop when crossing any road way. This includes making sure you can see and hear any oncoming traffic, even if it means lifting a visor or entirely removing a helmet.

He also reminds to obey all trail signs and only travel on private land after getting permission from the land owner.
