Three Sask. players on Canada men’s Olympic hockey roster

Three Saskatchewanians have been named to Canada's men's Olympic hockey team.

The team's 25-man roster features a number of players that made big contributions to Canada's gold medal performance in Vancouver in 2010. Reginans Ryan Getzlaf, the captain of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, and Chris Kunitz of the Pittsburgh Penguins will make the trip to Sochi, Russia. Patrick Marleau, originally from Aneroid, has also made the squad.

Roberto Luongo from the Vancouver Canucks and Steve Stamkos from Tampa Bay Lightning were both named to the team despite the fact they are injured.

Sidney Crosby, who scored the game-winning goal over the United States in overtime during the Vancouver games, is back and likely will be named captain.
