New tenants moving into old Zellers location

The big mystery about who will be moving into the old Zellers store location in Gateway Mall has now been answered.

“The south side of that store will become home to Ardene, which is currently located in our mall but they are expanding to 25,000 square feet,” said Gateway Mall general manager Sharon Faul.

Once it has moved the new location, the Prince Albert store will be the biggest Ardene store in Canada. The big news does not end there.

“And the other part of the south half of the store will be home to Designer Depot. It's new to our market but it's across Canada,” said Faul.

According to Designer Depot's website, they sell brand name clothing and accessories at low prices.

In according to accommodate the change, the Gateway Mall itself will undergo a bit of a facelift.

“The hallway will be extended so that those stores will have access to the mall area,” said Faul.

Construction has already started. The store openings are set for the spring.
