Saskatchewan farmers produced the largest crop in the province’s history at 38.4 million tonnes.

This crop beats the goal of 34.6 million tonnes set out in the government’s growth plan for 2020.

Crop production was 40 per cent higher than 2012 and beat the 10-year average by 48 per cent.

The canola crop in particular set a record at 8.9 million tonnes growing by 37.5 per cent year over year. All other crops are also above the 10-year average.
