Final twinned section of Highway 11 opens tomorrow

Oct 24, 2013 | 4:47 PM

An event on Friday morning will mark the completion of the long awaited four-lane highway between Saskatoon and Prince Albert.

It will take place beside the new lanes near the north MacDowall access road about 30 kilometres south of Prince Albert.

The twinning of Highway 11 began roughly four years ago. The project was supposed to be completed last fall, but weather and contractor issues resulted in a delayed completion date.

Prince Albert MP Randy Hoback and Prince Albert Carlton MLA Darryl Hickie will be in attendance.
