Winter conditions, summer drivers

Jan 19, 2011 | 5:23 AM

Despite it being the middle of winter it appears many Prince Albert Drivers still haven’t adjusted to the icy and slippery roads.

The Prince Albert Police Service is reminding people to slow down after seeing a high number of accidents in the area.

According to Sargent Kelly McLean, 18 accidents have met reporting criteria in the last week alone.

“If we have 18 that are reported and meeting criteria, where there’s a tow truck required or there’s a problem with driver information or alcohol might be involved or whatever the situation is that deems them to be reportable to the police, you can only imagine how many fender-benders are occurring out there,” McLean said.
