Winter festival a go

The 47th Prince Albert Winter Festival is definitely set to run this February says committee members.

Jim Stiglitz with the committee said the decision was made last week that there were enough volunteers and enough will to make it happen.

“It got to the point where we had enough board members, everybody wanted to go ahead with and we had vote and said let’s make a go of it,” said Stiglitz.

This year, it was decided to hold the festival at the Prince Albert Exhibition Grounds after meetings with the group were held.

Stiglitz said it was just a better, more central location with all the amenities needed.

Though the location has been chosen, Stiglitz said the exact events haven’t been decided.

“There’s going to be some old, some new and some different,” he said. He said the committee will be meeting on Tuesday exactly what events will be held.
