You may want to savour every bite of your pumpkin pie this weekend.
The wet summer has affected the pumpkin patch in Saskatchewan.
Suppliers say pumpkins could be scarce in the coming months and that has local grocers worried.
“One of his suppliers was wiped out already,” said Terry Charles at the Keethanow Food Supermarket in La Ronge, when talking about his supplier.
Charles said he should have enough pumpkins for this weekend.
Byron Guy at Harold’s IGA in Prince Albert was one of the lucky ones to pre-order.
“You think ahead because with the way the weather was this year, you never know,” he said.
Guy said the shortage hasn't affected prices, it just means they could run out.
