SAHO and HSAS to resume talks

Talks between Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations are set to resume again next week.

The next step is the employer group looking over a proposal from the union.

The two sides have been at an impasse in 21-month long contract talks.

It is a considerable amount over three years that the union is looking for, said SAHO's Susan Antosh.

The total cost to SAHO is said to be about 40 per cent more than their current amounts.

SAHO will likely have a response for the union at the second set of talks next week.

The union has said if there is no movement in this latest round of talks it will consider a strike vote.
