David Struch will replace Lorne Molleken as the new head coach of the Saskatoon Blades.

Struch, an associate coach with the team, is being promoted as the team restructures. Molleken, who spent 13 years behind the bench as head coach of the Blades, will stay on with the team as general manager and alternate governor.

A former player, Struch joined the Blades coaching staff seven years ago. He went on to play 12 seasons of professional hockey including a stint with the Calgary Flames.

The rest of the coaching staff is staying the same, including Engele and Curtis Leschyshyn as assistant coaches, and Tim Cheveldae as the goaltending coach.
