Raiders sign draft choice Williamson

The Prince Albert Raiders announced they’ve signed another one of their prospects, 2013 WHL Bantam Draft pick Dylan Williamson to WHL standard contract.

Williamson’s the team’s 4th round, 88th overall pick of this year’s draft and scored 23 goals and 45 points in 30 games with the Calgary Bisons of the Alberta Bantam Hockey League.

“Dylan is a big left winger and a very good skater with decent hands and can make plays,” said Raiders director of player personnel Dale Derkatch. “We see him as a solid penalty kill type guy who can be a good role player, but also has the ability to play on the top-2 lines.”

Williamson is already the second player the Raiders have signed this offseason, after announcing the signing of Prince Albert’s Lance Yaremchuk last week.
