A heavy rainfall warning issued on Thursday remained in effect throughout Friday and into Saturday.

According to CKBI meteorologist Henri Dagenais, up to 20 millimetres of rain could fall with the thundershowers.

“Some of the stations are reporting fog patches, and at one station at half a mile, so you can only see half a mile in front of you,” said Dagenais.

The rainfall warning covers the west-central region. The areas affected include Prince Albert, Birch Hills, St. Louis, Big River and the Lakeland. The rain is not expected to taper off until Sunday.
