St. Mary’s leads after day one of track provincials

The Prince Albert St. Mary’s has a lead in overall points after the first day of the SHSAA Provincial Track and Field Championships in Moose Jaw.

After Friday, St. Mary’s has 254 points, 29 more than Saskatoon Holy Cross who’s in second place.
Katelyn Lehner has two gold medals to her name after the first day, in 80m hurdles and 100m dash in the senior girls division. Abenniel Browne picked up a bronze in the senior girls 100m.

Amanda Lepage finished a very close second in the midget girls 100m dash. Evan Parchomchuk and Taylor Issel each have second place finishes. Parchomchuk finished a silver 1.76 in midget boys high jump, while Issel earned a silver in midget discus girls.

Morgan Borstmayer from St. Brieux finished 3rd in 80m hurdles.
