Power outage in downtown Prince Albert

The power is back on to a portion of Prince Albert's downtown that went dark shortly after 9 a.m.

The small outage affected a four-block radius on the east side of Central Avenue.

James Parker from SaskPower said a raven was the culprit.

“A raven went someplace where he shouldn’t go and caused an outage,” said Parker.

Witnesses say they heard a loud popping noise and saw what looked like a large ball of lightning from the transformer across from the fire hall.
