Unemployment down in Prince Albert

The unemployment rate in Prince Albert remains below the national average.

The latest jobs report from Statistics Canada shows the unemployment rate in Prince Albert sits at 7.1 per cent for April. That compares with 9.9 per cent for April of last year.

Roughly 400 more people were working in the city year-over-year.

The national rate held steady in April at 7.2 percent.

Saskatchewan leads the provinces at four percent.
