UPDATE: Suspect from suspicious death in Winnipeg arrested in Regina

A man wanted in connection with a death in Winnipeg was arrested in downtown Regina.

Winnipeg police had been looking for 42-year-old Christopher MacKenzie Campbell following a suspicious death on Saturday. They suspected he was heading west after a car affiliated with the suspect and the victim was found just outside of Regina.

“A family vehicle that has been associated to the suspect and to the victim was located a few kilometres outside the city,” said Constable Chris Wingfield with the Winnipeg police.

Winnipeg police contacted Regina police soon after Campbell disappeared for help in locating the suspect.

Just after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday Campbell was arrested without incident in the city's centre.

Campbell remains in Regina Police Service custody as arrangements are made to return him to Winnipeg.
