Dollar changes not to have big affect in Sask.

Jan 3, 2011 | 10:56 AM

Canadians ended 2010 worth slightly more than their American counterparts, if only in the value of the loonie.

The dollar here at home closed the year above par by about five-100ths of a cent.

There are bad things and good things about the value of the loonie, said Paul Martin, a Saskatchewan-based business analyst.

“I know a lot of people like to argue in favour of the lower Canadian dollar because it makes our exports cheaper, but the flip side is hey, we’re richer as a result of this,” he said.
