Saskatoon police investigate possible murder

Jan 2, 2011 | 8:34 AM

Saskatoon police are dealing with what may be the city's first murder of 2011.

A homeowner called police after finding a body lying in the back alley of Avenue K near 23rd Street West.

“The caller believed it was a deceased person in the lane. We're investigating what we believe is a potential crime scene,” said Staff Sgt. Kirby Harmon with Saskatoon Police.

Harmon says some blood was found on the ground by the body leading police to determine this as a suspicious death.
