2013 marks the 25th anniversary of the Prince Albert based company GL Mobile Communications who have been helping guide their customers to find the right communications solutions for the past 25 years.

“There have been some really significant changes since we started in 1988,” said Joey Christian, general manager.

“Twenty-five-years ago, we offered pagers and two-way radios to our clients with a staff of two people. Today we employ 14 staff members. We still offer two-way radios, as well as everything from internet service to remote car starters to the latest in smart phone sales, accessories and repairs.”

Monday marked the first day of operation in their brand new location at 124-A South Industrial Drive (one block West of their previous location).

GL Mobile Communications has a full selection of cellular and smart phones, accessories and they repair smart phones, iPods and iPads with as soon as next day service. They offer SKYVelocity.ca high-speed wireless internet service, Xplornet satellite internet service, GlobalStar and Iridium satellite phones and Motorola two-way radios, accessories and repairs. They are the authorized dealer for Viper Remote Car Starters and perform the installations on-site. GL offers rentals of their Motorola two-way radios and Globalstar and Iridium satellite phones.

Whatever your communication needs are, GL Mobile Communications likely has the equipment and the services available to suit. Aside from their vast product line, including one of the largest selection of cellular phone accessories in Northern Saskatchewan, they are your Sasktel Authorized dealer. In their new location, the business was able to set up SaskTel interactive displays where customers can browse phone specs, rate plans and add-ons via touch screen monitors and experience live working phones in-store.

“All the phones are on and operational so customers can come in and compare different phones side by side and see what fits their needs,” Christian said.

“With so many different products and services to choose from, this is an important feature of our new location.”
