Man found in snow declared dead

A 62-year-old man found lying unconscious and unresponsive in the snow early Thursday morning has died, according to the Prince Albert Police Service.

Police and Parkland Ambulance attended to the man in a parking lot after 5 a.m. in the 1500 block of 6th Avenue West. Police received a report about a person found lying in the snow. Paramedics informed them the man was not responsive.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There was no indication at the scene of foul play, according to police. The coroner has ordered a post-mortem investigation to determine the cause of death.
