Saskatchewan Parks is staggering where and when you can reserve a site in provincial parks this summer.

Last year, all parks opened at once, but the traffic to the Saskatchewan Parks website overwhelmed it.

This year, first up are the parks in the north and northwest. Starting March 4 at 7 a.m., you can book in places such as Emma Lake and Candle Lake.

On March 6, sites in the southwest and west central parks open for bookings. Cypress Hills is in that area.

On March 8, spots in the southeast and east central parks, such as Moose Mountain or Good Spirit, can be reserved.

Right now, Saskatchewan Parks suggests campers get ready for next week's openings by ensuring their online profile is current.

Click here for the Saskatchewan Parks website for more information on how the reserve-a-site staggering will work and how you can prepare.
