Fatal collision near North Battleford

A two-vehicle collision on Highway 4 north of North Battleford killed a 85-year-old man.

He was the sole occupant of a car that collided with a propane truck. His identity has not been released to the public pending notification of his first of kin.

The accident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and the man – who was the sole occupant of the car – was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RCMP said there is no indication at this time that alcohol was a factor in this accident.

The scene has since been cleared and the matter is under investigation.
