Saskatchewan wins opener at Scotties

The Jill Shumay team out of Maidstone defeated Kerry Galusha's quartet from the Terrirtories 7-2 in Saskatchewan's opening match at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kingston.

Saskatchewan stole one in the sixth, and three more points in the seventh end for the win. Team Canada, Ontario, Manitoba, BC, and Quebec are all 1 and 0 entering Sunday's play.

The Shumay team of Kara Johnston, Taryn Holtby and Jinaye Ayrey will face Quebec (Allison Ross) and New Brunswick (Andrea Crawford) on Sunday.
