Christmas busy for callers

Dec 24, 2010 | 8:17 AM

SaskTel doesn't expect to see more calls placed Christmas Day, but there should be plenty nonetheless.

The phone company's Andy Tate is anticipating roughly the same amount of calls as last year, about 950,000 calls in total.

He explains that circuits may be busy and there's a chance you won't be able to place a call if you try during peak hours.

“The busiest hours on Christmas day tend to be between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. So if you avoid those hours, you have more chance on getting your call through the first time,” Tate said.
