Business of the Day: Moker and Thompson

Feb 6, 2013 | 5:36 AM

For more than 50 years, Moker and Thompson has been providing service and solutions for PA and area farmers.

Because of this long-term relationship, it is a business that understands the seasonal needs of farmers and brings in the equipment and the expertise needed to get that crop in, sprayed and harvested.

With an anticipated wet spring, Moker and Thompson is focusing on equipment that will get the crop in and sprayed with as little rutting as possible.

“One of the biggest things is to have equipment with more rubber or tracks for a possible wet spring,” says Gord Thompson who highlights the Quad Track Tractor 4 wheel drive which he feels will be very popular this spring.

Moker and Thompson is also your source of air drills designed to have more floatation, sprayers with bigger tires and Macdon Swathers. Other main lines of equipment include Case IH tractors, combines and sprayers, Westward swathers, Apache High Clearance Sprayers and Seed Hawk Air Drills.

This is also the time of year when many farmers are looking at the equipment it has, starting to get ready for spring.

Moker and Thompson has 40 people on staff at its two locations. It continually ensures the ongoing training of our service technicians, parts people and sales staff. It has twenty weeks of training booked before spring on everything from GPS to equipment to operations.

Make sure to stop in and talk to the friendly and helpful staff at Moker and Thompson.
