Sentencing completed in machete case

Sentencing is complete in the case of a boy who slashed a P.A. cab driver with a machete.

The 15 year old received six months of closed custody, six months of supervised and six months of open. This is on top of time served in remand.

He pleaded guilty to the attack that left the driver with about 170 stitches and lost three teeth.

The Crown was seeking two years closed custody.
