One Duck Lake escapee caught; one still at large

A 31-year-old man who had escaped federal custody has been arrested in Saskatoon.

Royce Virgil Bear was one of two men who escaped from the Willow Cree Healing Lodge in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan on Jan. 27.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Saskatoon Police, in an effort to assist the RCMP, attended a home in the 700 block of Avenue N South. Royce Bear was located and taken into custody without incident. He will be returned to federal custody.

A second man, 23-year-old Brandon Avery White, continues to be at large. He is described as 5'8″ in height, 135 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on his right hand and right arm.
