Kidsport to hold bowling fundraiser in Prince Albert

Jan 17, 2013 | 4:56 AM

The Prince Albert chapter of Kidsport will hold a fundraiser at the Minto Bowling Centre on Sunday.

The group is hoping to exceed last year’s total of $7,000 raised, Katie Thebaud, Urban Youth Sport Coordinator for the Lakeland district, said. “[That amount] could sponsor quite a few kids, between 20 and 35 kids would be able to play sports.”

This marks the fourth time Kidsport has hosted the bowling fundraiser. Money will be raised through ticket sales, silent auctions and 50-50 draws with all proceeds going to help Prince Albert children play sports.

Thebaud says participants will play three different types of “fun” bowling games, have supper and meet two Saskatchewan Roughriders.
