Bjorkdale Co-Op to rise from the ashes

Jan 16, 2013 | 3:41 PM

There is some comforting news for residents living in the Bjorkdale area.

The Co-Op Food Store, which burned to the ground last month, will be re-built. The board made the decision Monday night.

“You know today's day and age with building, I'd hate to put anything out there but we are going to move as fast as we can and get it completed,” said Co-Op Manager Todd Svenson, who added that a spring construction start would be nice.

A recent priority for management has been getting the card lock back up and running. For the past month people have been forced to drive twenty minutes in either direction to fill up.
