Copper theft

One ton of copper was stolen from a hydroelectric station in Saskatchewan.

At some point between June 1 and Nov. 30, about one thousand kilograms of copper bus bars were stolen from the Island Falls station near Sandy Bay.

Bus bars are flat pieces of copper used to carry electrical current.
