PA soccer players playing in Canada Soccer nationals

Canada Soccer is holding their national tournaments this week and Prince Albert has a few locals participating.

Dwayne Gareau is playing midfield for the Saskatchewan-Manitoba squad at the Senior Men’s Challenge Cup in Winnipeg this week. They beat New Brunswick 8-0 on Tuesday and will play Prince Edward Island in their next game on Friday.

Gareau won a national championship with Team Saskatchewan last year.

The Prince Albert U-14 Celtic girls are also competing on the national stages in Vaughn, Ont. Their first game is Thursday against the Yukon Strikers.
