Dec 13, 2010 | 3:40 PM

Prince Albert, along with much of Saskatchewan could feel the wrath of Mother Nature providing a winter storm develops the way it’s expected to.

Environment Canada issued a winter storm alert Monday afternoon. The watch area stretches from Prince Albert, as far south as Estevan, and east to the Manitoba border.

According to the weather agency an Alberta Clipper will spread a band of freezing rain through the Saskatoon and Regina areas Tuesday afternoon.

As the precipitation tracks eastward Tuesday night it will change to snow as it moves into colder air. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm area are forecast by Wednesday morning from roughly Prince Albert and southeastward into Manitoba.
