Prince Albert teams bringing home medals

Four Prince Albert softball teams are bringing home medals from the provincial softball championships in Saskatoon this weekend.

The Squirt girls Lake Boyz RV Aces went undefeated on the weekend.

They won the gold medal after a 6-5 victory versus the Saskatoon Phantoms in extra innings.

There are no western Canadian championships in the squirt division.

The Bantam Boys Lake Boyz RV Astros won gold after beating the Saskatoon Phantoms 9-1 in the final game.

The Bantam Astros now advance to Western Canadian Championships in Strathmore, Alberta.

The Midget boys Astros won gold after defeating the Saskatoon Selects in a best of five series.

The Midget Astros took the series 3 games to one to advance to the Canadian championships in Fredricton, New Brunswick.

The Pee wee girls won provincial silver after falling to the Saskatoon Lasers 7-4 in the championship game.

They will still be heading to westerns in Maple Ridge, BC, as the top two teams from the province are sent.
