RCMP recovers body from Cowan Lake

The search for a missing boater may be over.

Last night the RCMP underwater recovery team recovered a body from Cowan Lake. The body is believed to be that of Colton James Thieman.

The 23 year old from Saskatoon was out having fun last Sunday, when he jumped from a pontoon boat into the water. He never returned to the surface. The water was said to be extremely cold at the time. Despite the best efforts of those that were there, they could not find him.

An autopsy is scheduled for today in Saskatoon to confirm the identity.
