Roughrider fan heads to Grey Cup without a ticket

With the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Grey Cup final, fans are flocking to Edmonton even if they don't have tickets.

Chris McLaughlin is one of those fans. He's been in Edmonton for a few days now, taking in Riderville, the Grey Cup parade and even some concerts.

“I knew that the Rider fans were going to be here in mass, and that there would probably be thousands of other people that were just going to be taking part in the festivities during the week,” said McLaughlin.

However, that doesn't mean he's not yearning for a ticket.

“I had dreams or thoughts of even just trying to get over to the stadium maybe in the first or second quarter to see if there's anybody who has tickets still left for sale. But I think I may just enjoy the warmth of the bar and the friendship that happens afterwards.”
