“Riderville’s” Avonlea gears up for Grey Cup final

One southern Saskatchewan town is especially buzzing with Rider pride leading up to the Grey Cup final.

Avonlea was declared Riderville this year, and the town is going all out.

“We're inviting everyone to come out to our town hall, there's no admission, food and beverages available and we're going to watch the big game on a 120 inch high def. big screen,” said Mayor Alex Getzlaf. He says people are even cancelling their regular house parties to experience the game as a community.

Being Rider slotback Chris Getzlaf's uncle means a few Getzlaf jerseys will be seen Sunday night.
