Nov 26, 2010 | 8:45 PM

Prince Albert SK– In front of a home crowd of 2800 and live throughout the country broadcasted on SHAW TV, the Prince Albert Raiders defeat the first place Saskatoon Blades 3-1 to pick up their 2nd win in a row.

It was Teddy Bear Night at the AHC and the fans did not have to wait long to launch their stuffed animals onto the ice, courtesy of Brandon Herrod. Herrod was battling in front of the net with a Blade defender working to screen Adam Morrison from the Antoine Corbin point shot. The shot hit Herrod in the shin pads and he was able to collect his own rebound and beat Morrison to ignite the bombardment stuffed animals onto the ice surface.

The Blades would respond though and score in a similar fashion when Lukas Sutter was able to control a blocked Dalton Thrower point shot and beat Eric Williams to tie the game at one.

The Raiders would retake the lead before the period was over though when Herrod scored his second of the game at 16:59 of the first period. Mark McNeill carried the puck behind the Blades net and made a back hand pass to Herrod who skated into the slot and used a back hand of his own to make the score 2-1 heading into the second period.
