Islam expert calls out media bias in Shafia trial

With the passing down of the Shafia verdict, one Islam expert is concerned about how the trial has been presented in the media.

Professor Brenda Anderson of women's and religious studies at the University of Regina is worried the framing of the case represents a rising tide of Islamophobia in Canada.

She talked about what kind of impact the case will have on Muslims in Canada.

“That depends on every single Canadian system,” she said.
