Friday is Green Day in Saskatchewan to support Roughriders

Green is the colour for sure and now there is a day to show it off with Saskatchewan's premier, Brad Wall, officially declaring Friday, Nov. 26 as Green Day.

He simply says everyone should take the opportunity to show their Rider pride Nov. 26 by wearing green.

“It is official. Friday, everyone should find whatever they can that is green and throw it on.”

But Wall admits it is not like Rider fans need a special day!

“I think people haven't been waiting for green day. They have been wearing green all week.”

Of course, no one wants a repeat of last year's game. So if you are superstitious, the last time green day was declared was in 2007, the year the Riders returned home with the Grey Cup.
