Roughrider licence plates a success

Nov 25, 2010 | 1:14 PM

Many Saskatchewan vehicles are already displaying love for the green and white.

SGI reports that six months after Roughrider licence plates were first offered, about 17,000 orders have been placed. That means a profit of close to $460,000 for the football club.

The demand has even surprised Minister-in-charge Tim McMillan.

“Never underestimate the interest of the Rider nation or their popularity in Saskatchewan. When we did the first series of 10,000 plates, we expected that would be good for the year and take up much of the demand.”
