Raiders rally to whip the Warriors

Nov 25, 2010 | 5:47 AM

The Prince Albert Raiders defeated the Moose Jaw Warriors 3-2 at the AHC.

An exceptional effort by goaltender Eric Williams during the first period of play kept the game scoreless heading into the 2nd.

It wasn't until the final minute of the 2nd period that the Warriors were able to beat Williams and they took their 1-0 lead into the 3rd.

The Raiders would respond though at 4:36 of the 3rd period when Jonathan Parker skated into the zone a rifled a wrist shot top shelf over the glove of Thomas Heemskerk.

Moose Jaw would get their 2nd lead of the game at 12:41 of the period after capitalizing on a Raider turnover.

The Raiders would take it from there though and responded just a minute later on the power play after Todd Fiddler was able to redirect an Antoine Corbin point shot past Heemskerk to tie the game at 2. Brandon Herrod got the game winner with 3 minutes left in the game after he directed a wrist shot from just inside the blue line on net that bounced off  Moose Jaw defenseman  and beat Heemskerk to make it 3-2.

The Raiders newest member Antoine Corbin earned 2 assists on the night and now has 6 points in 4 games played in a Raider uniform. Jonathan Parker and Todd Fiddler were also good for 2 points each in the 3-2 victory.
