It’s no secret that 2011 ended on a very warm note.

According to Environment Canada, this past December was among the warmest on record for the Prince Albert area.

“We were eight degrees above normal as a matter of fact. The normal mean temperature for December is -16.6 C and this December we were -8.3 C,” said Meteorologist Gregory Pearce.

He said the warmest day was on the 6th at 6.2 degrees. The coldest day was on the 9th at -22 C.
Farmers may have a reason to be concerned.
