Riders, Stamps put finishing touches on West Final game plans

The Saskatchewan Roughriders and Calgary Stampeders have put the finishing touches on their game plan for the CFL West Division Final.

The Roughriders landed in Calgary on Saturday, to weather that they’ll likely experience in Sunday’s game. The temperatures have hovered around -15 C and luckily no wind.

Wind is the big factor for Stampeders quarterback Henry Burris and not so much for the throwing game, but the wind chill that can impact a quarterback’s hand. When asked about he’s thought about wearing a glove on his throwing, he responded with an emphatic, “No!.”

Roughriders quarterback Darian Durant is also in the ‘no’ camp when it comes to wearing a glove on his throwing hand, although admitting he has thought about but because he’s never tried it he doesn’t believe the West Final is the time to try.
