A mysterious accident has left one man dead just west of Saskatoon.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene on a gravel road near the Cory Potash mine at around 4 pm Friday afternoon. A Ford Taurus had been spotted in a frozen slough on Gravel Road 3065 just north of Highway 7.

“A passing motorist observed the vehicle upside down in the slough and indicated it was already freezing around so indication was that the vehicle had been there for a little while already,” said RCMP Corporal Randy Wittig.
