The Saskatchewan Roughriders certainly did a lot of giving on Thanksgiving Monday.

The team turned over the ball six times and scored only one point in a 17-1 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos. The Roughriders have fallen to 4-10 on the season.

The Riders started Ryan Dinwiddie at quarterback in place of the injured Darian Durant. Dinwiddie threw three interceptions and was pulled in favour of Durant at the start of the third quarter. Durant didn't do much better as he played with an injured foot. Durant completed seven of his 24 passes, although he had several receivers drop passes, including Andy Fantuz in the endzone.

Durant told reporters after the game his foot is indeed broken and not sprained as previously believed.

Jerome Messam had the play of the game and the only touchdown of the game when he ran in from 51-yards out to make the score 12-0 in the second quarter.

The Roughriders offense has not scored a touchdown in three games. The team has been outscored 99-9 over that span.

While the Roughriders are not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, the chances of that happening are slim. The Roughriders will need to win their final four games and have Hamilton lose their final four to earn a cross-over birth.
