Canada-wide warrant issued for man last seen in Regina

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for 39-year old Lyle Patrick Braun, who last seen in Regina.

Elizabeth Popowich, spokeswoman for Regina Police Service, said it is important for people to know that he could be violent and dangerous.

“We want to make sure that people don’t put themselves in any position of vulnerability by approaching him,” she said.

Popowich explained that police are looking for him because he is in breach of his statutory release.

“He failed to return to his residence by curfew, and in doing that he is in breach of one of his conditions and therefore he is arrestable.”

Popowich added that if Braun is arrested, he will go back to jail.

Braun was charged with assault, intent to resist arrest and robbery. paNOW obtained this information from Corrections Services Canada in Vancouver.

Popowich noted that Braun also knows people in Saskatoon and officers are working with counterparts there to locate him.

Braun is a Caucasian male, about 5-foot-11, weighing 181 pounds with a thin build. He has long brown hair and blue eyes.
